Terms of use - Migration Friends in Queensland

  1. For the purposes of the Terms and conditions of membership, Privacy Policy and Terms of use, when the word "MEMBER" is used, it will relate to all the persons to whom a membership relates, as in section 7 [Seven] of the Terms and conditions of membership.
  2. If you decide to use those organisations, agencies, or companies that you direct us to find, or you are made aware of as a member, Friends in Queensland will not endorse or recommend products and services provided by those parties. Use of those parties, products and services will be at your own discretion and risk. Friends in Queensland will not take any responsibility for financial loss you may suffer when using those parties, and any warranties or guarantees provided by those parties are the sole responsibility of those parties.
  3. Any information provided by Friends in Queensland is not to be interpreted as "ADVICE" nor that Friends in Queensland are "ADVISING" the recipient member to take a course of action relating to that information.
  4. Friends in Queensland will not offer advice or advise members about issues relating to;
    •  Visas.
    •  Sponsorship.
    •  Eligibility to Medicare, social services or any Governmental assistance.
    •  Investments, mortgages, pensions, banking or any professional financial matters.
    •  We do not function as an employment agency in any form.
  5. Friends in Queensland will not act as sponsors, referees, guarantors or agents in any way shape or form.
  6. Friends in Queensland will use electronic mail as its primary source of communication with its members outside Australia . Members within Australia may have access to a secondary means of contact via telephone.
  7. We will endeavour to answer all enquiries as expeditiously as possible, taking into account time differences between countries.
  8. If we are unable to answer your query directly, we will endeavour to source the relevant company, organisation or agency for you, who may be able to respond to your query appropriately.
  9. We, at Friends in Queensland , will look to review, improve and add to our services to members at all times.
  10. We will seek and accept reasonable and constructive feed back from members, and endeavour to meet member's needs.
  11. Under no circumstances, including but not limited to any act or omission on the part of Friends in Queensland, will Friends in Queensland be liable for any indirect, incidental, special and/or consequential damages or loss of any nature whatsoever, which may result from any use or access of, or any inability to use or access, the Site, any content of the site or the Friends in Queensland service.

Terms and Conditions of Membership
Migration Friends in Queensland

  1. For the purposes of the Terms and conditions of membership, Privacy Policy and Terms of use, when the word "MEMBER" is used it will relate to all the persons who a membership relates to, as in section 7 [Seven] of the Terms and conditions of membership.
  2. The cost of a 12 month membership is to be paid in full and in advance of services provided. Membership will commence and services will be available on the date payment has cleared.
  3. Friends in Queensland will allow a 7 [Seven] day cooling off period, starting from the day you make your application. This includes business days and weekend days.
  4. If you decide to cancel your membership during the 7 [Seven] day cooling off period, Friends in Queensland will reimburse your fee, minus a $50 [Australian] administration fee. This fee will cover the cost of transferring your money to us and back to you.
  5. If you decide to cancel your membership after the cooling off period, but within 28 [Twenty Eight] days [including business days and weekends] after the cooling of period has elapsed, we will reimburse half of your yearly fee to you, minus a $50 [Australian] administration fee.
  6. Once the 7 day cooling off and the 28 day periods have elapsed [A total of 35 days, including weekends and business days] no refunds will be made.
  7. Use of an individual membership will be restricted to the primary applicant, the primary applicant's partner or spouse, and the primary applicant's dependant children.
  8. The "primary applicant", for these purposes is the person who initiates contact and/or makes the application for membership, and it is the primary applicant who will be regarded as the "primary member" of the membership.
  9. The primary applicant must be 18 years or over.
  10. Information will not be given to any member under the age of 18 years unless the enquiry is instigated, monitored and approved by an appropriate adult/parent member.
  11. It is the absolute responsibility of the primary member to monitor, safeguard, and coordinate a secure use of their membership within the primary member's area of control, namely the home address or whatever place or source the primary member uses to access Friends in Queensland . Any agreed passwords, access numbers or login details issued to the membership must be secured by the primary member, and it is the primary member's absolute responsibility to secure the said details.
  12. Memberships are non transferable.
  13. A membership is not for use in any commercial or public capacity.
  14. Friends in Queensland reserve the right to refuse membership without explanation, to any applicant if it is felt appropriate.
  15. If in the opinion of Friends in Queensland , an enquiry is made, or information is sought of an illegal or inappropriate nature, Friends in Queensland reserve the right to refuse the request and if necessary inform relevant authorities of any unlawful acts, and cancel the relevant membership without refund of any fees paid.
  16. Friends in Queensland reserve the right to cancel membership of any member if it is felt appropriate. In the event that membership is cancelled by Friends in Queensland , the member will be reimbursed a fee calculated on a daily rate multiplied by the amount of days left on the membership. The final amount will be less a $50 [Australian] administration fee.
  17. Members will be expected to behave in a reasonable manner at all times and not use abusive behaviour of any type, at any time towards members of Friends in Queensland or operators of the service.
  18. If, in the opinion of Friends in Queensland , a member uses abusive or unreasonable conduct or behaviour, the membership of the individual may be cancelled. Should this be the case the member will be in breach of membership rules of conduct, as per section 17 [Seventeen], and forfeit any right to a refund of any membership fees paid to Friends in Queensland .
  19. In the event that membership is cancelled the member will be given an explanation, but the final decision will remain with Friends in Queensland .
  20. Friends in Queensland reserve the right to amend or update our Privacy policy, Terms of use, and our Terms and Conditions of membership.
  21. In the event of an amendment or update of our Privacy policy, Terms of use, and our Terms and Conditions of membership, members will be notified as soon as practicable.
  22. Unless a member raises an objection to an amendment or update to our Privacy Policy, Terms of use, and our Terms and Conditions of membership, it will be taken that the member accepts the amendment or update.
  23. In the event that a member raises an objection to an amendment or update of our privacy policy, terms of use, and our Terms and Conditions of membership, the member will be given the option to cancel a current membership and be reimbursed as per section 16 [Sixteen] of the terms and conditions of membership.
  24. If you have a valid complaint, Friends in Queensland will review your complaint and decide how to resolve the complaint fairly. We will consider all the facts the member puts forward and review all the evidence in order to make an informed decision.
  25. Before becoming a member of friends in Queensland , the member must agree with, and abide by, the Terms of use, the Privacy Policy and the Terms and conditions of membership. Failure to do so will result in a refusal of membership.
  26. Any existing member not abiding by or agreeing to the Terms of use, the Privacy Policy or the Terms and conditions of membership, will have the relevant membership cancelled without any refund of membership fees.

Friends in Queensland Privacy Policy

For the purposes of the Terms and conditions of membership, Privacy Policy and Terms of use, when the word "MEMBER" is used it will relate to all the persons to whom a membership relates to, as in section 7 [Seven] of the Terms and conditions of membership.

A member's personal details will not be handed on to any other person, organisation, agency or company unless the member gives us their consent or we are legally obliged to through Queensland or Australian law.

Friends in Queensland are not advertisers for any other company, organisation or agency and act only as a source of information. We will source information that is readily available for public eyes, regarding other companies, organisations and agencies, at a member's request, and on occasions make members aware of products and services from external organisations, companies and agencies. Friends in Queensland will not give a member's details to those parties unless the member makes that request or we get the member's express permission.

Friends in Queensland will not use a member's personnel information for any purpose without their consent.

The member can dictate what personal information they wish to divulge to us.

If Friends in Queensland request personal details about a member, we will provide an explanation as to why we require that information, on their request.

Friends in Queensland will take all steps within our power to protect personal information relating to our members.
